I managed to catch our smaller cat ("Mama Kitty") at rest. She didn't seem to mind having the camera poked into her face. The framing and light make this one of my favorite pics from my new camera. I intentionally left this large to better showcase the detail in her fur, and for easy resizing. You might want to view this in small mode to save some download time....

My two cats (a female and a male, spayed and neutered) are adopted strays who managed to find their way to my safe haven.
This is by far my favorite shot, and perhaps the best photo I've ever taken. Totally serendipitous too, I might add. I just happened to catch her at the right spot at the right time yesterday.
