Down and Out! -- For Now Anyway...
y PC has been doing double duty as my work and home system for more than five years now, and even the best system can't be expected to last under those kinds of circumstances. Having to purchase a new system while on the disabled list is more of a financial burden than I can afford right now, but there is no other choice...it doesn't look like I'm going to be returning to work any time soon, so I can't exactly ask them to buy a new machine for me now, can I?
I ordered a new box today (a very nice HP desktop machine, actually), but it will be a couple of weeks before it is delivered, installed, and configured. Add into that the extra time it takes when I can only spend a few minuted per day at the keyboard, and you can probably expect not to hear from me for the next month or so!
I have several pieces of work in process, and hopefully recoverable once all the dust settles, but in the meanwhile, please take good care of each other, and accept my good wishes and lack of communication as well-intended as it is!
See you all again, as soon as possible!

Stamps, stamps, stampie stamp stamps!
I have finally collected so many stamps that they don't fit into a single journal. I have organized them into a series of journal entries depending on arbitrary categories I devised myself. Here are the links:

Billy ...ya bring a tear to an old cuss's eye...
When i think of all the things you could be doing for yourself ....and how precious time must feel for you over and above what anybody our age might feel...and you take the time to do this for me ?....
well...you left me wordless for a long time... which is a pretty big feat my friend.
Thanks kindred soul
You surpass me by miles and miles.
